Jon Knapp - Director

Jon has been into audio since about the age of 16 when he built his first Mosfet amplifier and started annoying the neighbours! Nothing much has changed since then except now he is paid to make a noise on a much larger scale. He started hiring out PA in the early 90's when he was in a band and used to rent out the bands equipment to other local bands, he soon realised that he was better at sound engineering than playing a guitar and has been doing that ever since.

Dave Chapman - Director

Dave started out as a drummer from his mid teens and played for several bands in the 90's. From there he went onto design and build his own soundproofed studios for rehearsals, which many bands in the Derby area used. More recently he teamed up with Jon to form Pro Live Audio and has gone on to live sound production and installation work.

Simon has been involved with live audio from a very young age when he assisted his father (a BBC engineer) at numerous events as well as running sound systems for his brother’s bands. Over the last few years he has completed a degree in ‘Sound, light and Live event technology’ and worked on hundreds of events around England and Europe. Currently Simon is working alongside Jon and Dave as one of the directors of Pro Live Audio and in his free time plays Bass in a rock band.

Jonathan Quayle - Engineer

Jonathan has had an interest in sound engineering since the age of 15 when he was thrown in at the deep end and asked to simply fade a mic up and down in his local church. Ever since then he has had a great interest in live sound and has studied at Derby UNI. More recently he has joined Pro Live Audio as one of our sound engineers. Having also had experience in a band and studio work he has a broad knowledge of music technology.

Anthony Best - Engineer

Antony has been interested in sound engineering since 1996. He learnt about sound at the University of derby, and has since then moved onto live sound. His first job was in Sydney Australia working for a sound and light company. He then moved onto working for his local theatre, 'theatre Royal' in Nottingham, and has since joined Pro Live Audio. He can also be seen working on some of the shows put on at Alton Towers.
